After the death of 17 year old Allies parents she is forced to live with her estranged uncle. After six month of living with a man that seems normal to the outside world she knows all to well the mask her wears in public is more than fake. A night of binge drinking on his end leads her to make a choice she never thought she'd have to make. The choice to take someone's life. With the world thinking she was taken in the murder she decides to run away every year changing locations and appearance to protect herself from being caught.
7 years on the run leads her to a small town in Alabama where she meets Brice a small town boy with a heart of gold. She instantly feels at home and doesn't want to leave her new found home but will a string of blackmail and murders back in her home town force her to continue to run?

Chp. 4 Preview: She was able to see what the paper had on it immediately after taking it from the shelf, and it made her heart immediately drop. Her blood sugar fell, and her face became pale, feeling dizzy. Her heart began racing as she saw me staring at her. The drawing she just found was a realistic depiction of myself smiling at the person who saw it. Unlike myself, who felt joy and inspiration from seeing father draw me this, mother was scared witless. Her legs became jelly, her body was paralyzed. All she could do was stare at the drawing, knowing that no one could have drawn this except an adult. And she knew I did not talk to any adults- or did I? Now she couldn't be too sure.
