Emotional Amnesia
Sometimes when I say "I'm okay", I want someone to look me in the eyes, hug me tight and say, "I know you're not". I have felt like this many times in my life; as a kid, teenager and as an adult. I have seen many things in my life and felt even more things that has been horribly depressing... But I got up. I stood up to walk on for another day. I dealt with my emotional amnesia the only way I knew I could and that was by writing it out into poetry. I wanted to forget my pain and forget what I was going through. I needed that cut of the blade or a pill to drink to take everything away. My poetry became both my pill and my blade... Now I share the most intimate part of myself with the world. The part of me I kept hidden in the closet. The part I never thought I would ever present to the world. Now is the time I have to stop having amnesia about my emotions. This is my story to "you". This is a story about loving someone so much and after all else you don't always get the happily ever after that you always want. My life changed completely once i turned twenty one. My friends and i went out to celebrate my special day but i didn't realise it would be the last time i would see them. I was kidnaped and treated like a slave by a very mean and abusive Vampire that's right a vampire i didn't they existed i thought stories of vampire were only told to scare us of a night time. But this Vampire wasn't just your ordinary Vampire he was the Vampire prince. My friends and family would never get to see me again. I’ve seen my family and friends from a distance when they held a funeral four months after i was kidnapped. They thought i was dead only because Casper took some of my blood and spread it through an abandoned cabin along with some hair and clothes. Six months after i was kidnapped Casper started to become nice he would treat me like a princess and tell me how beautiful i was. I began to fall in love with my kidnapper was it wrong of me to fall in love with him? Was it wrong to agree to marry him after everything he put me through? "What are you going to do Crystal?"
