Freddy Huerta is broken. His mom died from drug overdose and is left with his abusive father. He cuts every night and barely talks at school. His friends just shrugged it off as if it was nothing. They're not even his friends. They would bully him everyday. 
Then, he moved to Austin, Texas and started going William B. Travis Prep School. He became friends with Zack, Tomika, Lawrence, Dewey(AKA Mr.Finn),and Summer. He learned about their secret and was now the band's drummer. But he was still the same Freddy. They notice something off about him right away and were determined to find out. Especially Summer. Summer was the only one that Freddy could be close to. They quickly became best friends and they begin to like each other. Can Summer be the one to fix Freddy?
