There was an explosion, and at it went off, Red bolted towards the action as a somber feeling spread through her metal body, through me. Bits of ship floated around me as the shield shattered in front of me. Everyone shouted in glee through the comms, but they didn't know.
Keith.
Keith was gone.

Keith's sacrifice went unnoticed by everyone until the Mamora sent their apologies. The teams confusion turned to sorrow and horror as Keith's blade was held up. They knew he was gone, and realized their once red paladin was dead, and there was no doubt the team would be affected. Lance never got to say sorry for the times he's teased him, the bonding moment, the way the team treated him before he left for the Mamora. He never got to say I love you.
However, Whether or not he was dead was up to debate. A strange distress signal sends Red on high alert and refuses any pilot to touch her but Lance, who can't even control her now. Is it possible Keith lived, or is it a scrambled message with his last words?

[This takes place before Keith meets his mother, but after Lotor becomes the Galra Emperor. and they have made contact with the white lion. Keith's first attempt did happen.]

He couldn't believe Lance had just said that -he pondered on the possibility of having misheard him- but his voice had sounded so honest and so painfully hurt, he knew there was no way Lance's words weren't true. The honesty dripping from his drunk-stained words left Keith breathless. He never thought he'd live to hear those words coming from Lance, he was certain he would never love him back, he thought he liked Kinkade, as much as it pissed him off the idea. Lance was captured by the Galra Empire during a diplomatic mission, losing track of the team. After a year and a half of no search parties, he caved into the brutal ways of the Galran prince, Prince Lotor. Over time, Prince Lotor gained Lance's trust, and Lance grew feelings for the prince. Many colonies and planets collapsed into wars once Lotor took power, keeping Voltron busy. Lance eventually returns to the team, only to find Allura had replaced him. He felt distanced from the team, his only connection being Keith, his boyfriend. Can Lance free himself from the Prince's intoxicating charm? As their journey goes on, Lance, Keith, and Lotor become an inseparable group, until Lotor is forced to step down. They all go in different directions, some to certain death, some to exile. "S-Stay, p-please," Keith mumbled, hiding his face in his pillow. Lance nodded climbing beside the small boy. Keith turned to face him, his face flushed as he looked at Lance, "T-Thanks." "For what?" Lance whispered, his breath close enough for Keith to touch. "B-Being by my side," Keith moved closer to Lance, closing the small distance between them, "I-I thought y-you'd all hate me." "Why would you think that?" "Ha," Keith let out a bitter laugh, "I'm half Galra. I share half of my DNA with a race who has killed countless civilizations, not to mention they kidnapped Shiro and Katie's family, and they-" "Exactly, "they". You didn't help them do any of that, right?" Lance touched Keith's forehead with his own, drinking in the feel of his soft skin. "N-No but-" "No "buts", you didn't choose to be born part Galra, and you have more than proved you're a paladin." "Allura and Coran hate me," Keith mumbled, trying to find some way to prove that they did indeed hate him. "No they don't, just give them some time to adjust," Keith turned around, pulling Lance's arm around him, "They have to get used to you. None of us hate you, not the smallest bit." Lance waited for Keith to argue but the boy had already fallen asleep. Lance hugged the boy tighter as he copied his steady breaths. "I could never hate you." ------------------------------------------------- Keith gets kidnapped during a simple mission of the paladins. He's tortured and abused for three days, leaving him a damaged mess. The paladins finally find him and bring him home, but Keith is acting strange, stranger than usual. I obviously don't own Voltron. He nearly cried out at the impact. The Black Paladin dug his hands into the fabric of his shirt, pushing him harshly against the wall, "Where is Lance?!" Keith snarled. It really was remarkable how his eyes changed to resemble those of pure Galra. It would have scared him if his introduction to the guy hadn't been a gushing retelling of a 'bonding moment' between him and his brother. Alec merely rolled his eyes. "Haven't you been listening. I. Don't. Know. And to think Lance said you were smart." Keith was pratically growling as he pulled his arms off of his shirt. "I'll say this once. You will either help me find my brother and fix the mess you made or you will let me leave with that ship and stay the fuck away from him." In which Lance goes off on a solo mission without the others knowing only to be left behind when the team disappears and having to deal with the aftermath. (They do get reunited. In fact most of the time lance spends a part from them in shown in Lance's flashbacks leading up to their reuinion.)Abgeschlossene Geschichte
