An internal voice whispered, "Call him." But I chose not to. I dismissed it once more, saying, "He never liked me anyway." Yet the dilemma lingered. "But maybe he does. The way he looks at you... it's different." Out of nowhere, he glanced my way. My heartbeat quickened, sending shivers down my spine. I averted my gaze, pretending to look around. "Has he noticed me? No, wait-oh my god." --- After switching high schools, Nina discovered a new way of life. She fell in love, made wonderful friends, and everything seemed perfect. But Ethan-a popular boy who never focused on anyone but her-was the object of her hatred. He was always there, always keeping her safe. He used to annoy her endlessly. She hated him deeply. Until she didn't. For a while, she was content with her high school experience. That is, until something mysterious turned her world upside down. Forced to move to a new city, Nina had to cut ties with everyone she once knew. Eight years later, fate brings her face-to-face with him again. "Ethan..." He's the key to everything-the truths she never knew. When she was lost in the dark, he always held the light. But now, things are different. She despises him. He's colder than ever. Or perhaps she fears him. Fears that he'll leave her again. Will their lives ever return to normal after everything they've endured? "Maybe?" "Maybe yes. Maybe no?" --- Started: 8 November 2021 Ended: 19 December 2022 Rewritten: December 2024 --- ### Rankings Goals So Far: #1 Adolescente #1 given up #1 blinddates #1 pretend #10 twistedromance #50 high school romance --- ### Notice: This is my first published story, and it contains numerous grammatical errors and bad editing. Memoirs of A Healer/Clinical Social Worker: Autobiography of Bruce Whealton by BruceWhealton

A healer. A survivor. A victim of profound injustice. How does someone who has dedicated their life to helping others find the strength to heal themselves after losing everything? In December 2019, I woke up in a psychiatric hospital following a suicide attempt. A simple conversation with another patient sparked a shift within me-a glimmer of clarity that would change the course of my life. But how did I end up there? What devastation could drive a loving spouse, a therapist, and a lifelong survivor to the edge of despair? This book unravels the journey that led me to that breaking point and how I found the strength to keep living. My story is one of triumph and tragedy-of overcoming paralyzing shyness and social anxiety to become a psychotherapist, only to have my life shattered by unimaginable injustice. Between 2000 and 2006, I lost everything I had built: my home, my career, my community, and the love that once gave my life meaning. The destruction was sudden, like a meteor crashing down, and the aftermath left me in ruins. Worse still, the world condemned me as a villain when I was only ever a victim. But this is not just a story of loss. It is a story of survival, of how I faced the darkness and chose to keep living. It is a testament to how love, hope, and the power of connection can guide us through even the longest night. Through this memoir, I share not only my pain but also my triumphs-the moments of joy, love, and meaning that kept me fighting for life. I write this book for anyone who has ever felt unseen, unheard, or unjustly condemned. I write it to show that healing is possible, that our stories matter, and that no matter how broken we feel, there is always a path forward. This is my story. But it is also a story of hope-for you, for me, and for anyone who has ever longed for justice, healing, and love.

My Life, My Story, On My Terms

1 part Complete

I titled this book my life, my story, on my terms because it's exactly that. I wrote this book in to be able to finally speak my truth about the events that have happened to me and it finally is personalized without any other take on what somebody else thought or what somebody else believes or intake is on all of it. After so long of being told things from others especially those that have never gone through what I have before for so long, I've finally reached a complete point of totally keeping other's opinions out of this. I'm here to tell my story, from parts of my life, and it's all on my terms. I'm the one that went through it, and am here to speak the truth about it. I must say, it feels awesome to be able to finally release this book for all to read my story. I truly hope in return, not only will you no longer have questions about me if you did before, that I will also have inspired or helped you in some sort of way, whether emotionally, mentally, or in a soul type of way and understanding. I explain what's happened in my life, why it's happened, and the solutions I've come too. I also give advice through my own experiences on how to find and be your best self, and how to deal with feelings, emotions, and thoughts. I hope all enjoys this book and can learn or incorporate some of the things that I have done and do into their life to truly benefits them in some type of way.
