Lauren and Noah grew up together as friends, who despise one another. They're constantly together; meaning their's lots of arguments, and it usually ends with someone getting hit in the head with a book. Being a close family friend makes things no better, meaning Lauren has to deal with the trouble that is always lurking behind him at school, and home. Deep down inside they've always had a thing for one another, but neither would ever admit it.
Lauren likes to have fun, but usually stays out of trouble.Noah is a trouble-maker who always seems to find his way to the principals office. So when Noah ends up landing the both of them in summer volunteer work, Lauren wants to pull her hair out as she says goodbye to her much needed summer break.

They grow closer and closer toward each other, seeing things in one another they hadn't seen before. Lauren, being the idiot she always has been, begins to fall for him. They go through rough times, staring with sneaking out of the house, and stealing a real diamond necklace.
This summer couldn't get any worse.
