After the third world war, only 500 people live in the united states. They all go to sanctuarys, so they can hide from the  horrible mutant monsters. Once humans are able to survive outdoors with out dying from radiation poisoning, sanctuarys can now banish anyone who does not abide the rules. Emalie Harper is one of these people. After a horrible mistake made in the summer, Emalie is banished to the Outdoors with Maria Fredrick. Will Emalie be able to get back to her wife? Maybe the whole universe really is against her. Warning: This story's going to get a bit dark/depressing. And even though it's clearly labeled as such but I still feel I need to say this is a mature girlxgirl story so there will be sex. Also don't read if you have a problem w/ the word fuck because I use it quite liberally.

Earth and humanity were saved, and the little planet to thank for their salvation was named Umbra. Alice is a xenoarchaeologist, her passion in life has always been the study of ancient cultures, and now she has the opportunity to study the most ancient one of them all. The very one that modern Human civilization was built on. Alice and her boyfriend accepted a posting on the famous and ancient ship, the U.S.S.A Umbra.
