In this (I guess one shot?) I give my personal views on the subject of Soul-mates. I wrote it as my journal entry for the #EveryDayMovie contest, and although it may (or may not... *shrug*) fit the criteria of what the journal entry was supposed to be, I hope you will give it a chance. But if I am disqualified, well at least I tried.

Now, I want to let everyone know in advance that this is all my personal opinion, and that if I somehow offended someone, I am truly sorry, because that was not my intention. But if you don't like my opinion, please don't leave me 5000000 comments about how my views are wrong whatever, just do me a favor and close out of the book :) because like I said this is just my personal view on the matter.

This... one shot... does fit the "under 500" criteria, and is around 350 words (give or take), but the rest of the journal part of the entry may differ from what I wast supposed to say... (Oh well) and I just wanted to let anyone who may possibly read this know that.

okay, my rambling (ranting?) is done now :D read along, and have a good morning/ afternoon/night/whatever time of the day it is for you!

Two broken souls in the midst of a crazy world. Two souls running away from their past. There was no light at the end of the tunnel. The tunnel was cracking, slowly closing in. When these two connect, as if they were set on the same path, light creeps in through the cracks, and for or a moment, the tunnel seems to have a way out, but what if it collapses before they make it? - "You saved my life." The words come out as a whisper, I've been dying to say that. I thank god every day that he came into my life when he did. "Fuck Vivian, you don't know how much I needed you." I tear up just a little as he speaks, I don't know the last time I cried happy tears. I bring my hands up to cup his cheeks, resting my forehead against his. "No matter how much I push, I don't mean it. Please don't give up on me." My words seem to relieve him in some way as I feel his shoulders relax. "Even when I'm gone, I'll be by your side, forever." He brings his hand, sticking his pinky out. "pinky promise."I wrap mine around his, placing a kiss on his lips. Warning before you read!! This is my first book! This book will contain topics of SA, eating disorders, and mature content, if any of these things may bother you in anyway, please scroll! I hope when I finish this book I can public a clean version, with a different perspective leaving out these topics, but for now, this is how i've envisioned this story to go! Enjoy -Ash🌸

You Are My Soulmate

You're ecstatic when you find out you have five soul indicators at midnight on the day of your twenty-first birthday, right before you start Officer Candidate School for the Navy in Rhode Island. OCS is so complex you can't devote time to searching for your soulmate. On graduating from Officer Candidate School, Naval Aviation Command School, and Aviation Maintenance School at the top of your class, you are given the primary selection of detachment and travel worldwide as an Aviation Maintenance Duty Officer. The excitement you felt on your twenty-first birthday has changed over the past seven years, and you're impatient to see who your soul is. After years of constant movement, it's a relief to learn you have been assigned to run maintenance on a squadron's planes out of Naval Air Station North Island. San Diego is sunny and gorgeous, an absolute dream after being stuck on an aircraft carrier in the middle of the ocean for the past six months. The Dagger Squad is a newly-permanent squadron based out of NAS North Island. Each member welcomed you to Miramar as a part of their maintenance crew with warmth and friendliness. Except for one pilot, callsign: Rooster. He's the most unpleasant pilot you've ever met. He's full of himself, cocky, arrogant, rude, and condescending. If only he didn't feel so familiar. If only you didn't feel so drawn to him. ⚠ Crossposted on AO3 and Tumblr! ⚠
