Zora: The Leviathan's Eye

7 parts Complete

"There's no room in the world for trust, hope, or the wealthy's compensating fashion sense. Now pass the Rum." - Zora Zora's been from Constantinople to Timbuktu. She's gambled with religious figures and stolen a Belgian princess's Tiara because she was bored, and all before she was 15. But one night, while touring the streets on an inebriated impulse celebrating her 17th birthday, her life is upturned like a ship caught in a tropical hurricane. Zora overhears an unlikely pair whispering about a secret map and a rumor. A rumor of treasure and magic. Uncharacteristically, Zora decides to act on impulse and steal the map and follow the rumor. But stealing the map was only the beginning of everything going wrong. Zora quickly becomes hunted by a secret society and their master assassin; the Reaper. She begins to have terrible nightmares of speaking shadows and creatures of myth. And she kidnaps a young man named Tryston, who can't remember that he can summon magic and can't forget his strong attraction to Zora. Then there's the night when Tryston prophesies about her being the key to the world's irreversible destruction. But she'll just have to burn that bridge when she gets to it.
