"Why is it so hard to trust me?" He murmurs, his breath hot as it fans accross my neck. "Why is it so hard to keep a promise?" Alice Holdin doesn't do trust. She trusted her parents to care about her. They didn't. She trusted her sister to be there for her. She wasn't. She trusted a boy with her heart. He broke it. Being the 'organ donar' for her perfect sister suffering from cancer, had always made life hard for Alice. It made life even harder when her sister died before she could donate a single organ. Since her sisters death, her parents can't even look at her anymore, let alone care about her. She was the back up kid, after all. But when Alice's father gets offered a job opportunity in another state, Alice starts to think life might just start to change for the better. Then enters Jace. Jace Matthews has the perfect life. On the outside. At school he's the bad boy, the one girls throw themselves at and the guys cower over. At home he's kid with a screwed up family. So what happens when the new girl stumbles into his life? Immune to his charms and hot as flames, she sparks his intrest. The broken girl, the troubled boy and a love you'll never forget.

"What's your problem?" He asks darkly. "What's your problem?" I spit back. "Why do you keep following me?" He hisses. "I don't follow you!" I shout back. "Then how come where ever I go you end up going or being there?" He questions in a raised voice. "Its a coincidence." I say back in the same tone. He then moves forward towards me, and I take a step back but my back hits the brick wall. He puts his arms up his palms against the wall caging me in looking into my eyes. I won't look at him though, I look to the ground scared. "Just leave me alone...stay away." He whispers in my ear before he walks away to his car with his head down. -- When Dylan accidentally bumps into Mason in school things change. Dylan isn't scared away from him, or the rumors about him. She wonders about him, and what is up with him. When Mason decides Dylan needs to stay away from him he can't seem to keep it that way. He has a weird need to protect her... From everything. Which means finding out about her past... Will he soften up around her, or keep is bad boy dangerous ways? What happened when his fighting life comes into his normal life? What will happen when they find out about Dylan? Will Mason be able to keep her safe? Or will his boss find a way to keep him fighting?
