Naruto has always been neglected. Everyone believed him to be weak, obnoxious and incredibly stupid and stubborn. What they didn't know, not even his own parents is that Naruto is strong.
But as he grew, he weakened, he allowed himself to attach to others. After a fallout with his previous 'family' Naruto leaves, becoming a missing ninja at first. But then things turned for the worst and Naruto was declared as a rogue ninja.

The day where the Kyuubi attack Konoha Minato sealed the Kyuubi's chakra inside of the Naruto younger siblings while he only has the soul of the Kyuubi. They want him back but Itachi isn't so willing to let him go back to the place where he was treated like trash. Not with his children anyway.
