Deception

It's the year 1872 and the headstrong Amelia Abbot is being pressured to act like a proper lady, find a husband, and accept her unfair and boring fate of settling down to a life of repetition and housework. Amelia, however, has other plans. When a mysterious killer begins murdering people all throughout London, Amelia finds herself wrapped up in the mystery and sees her chance to prove all those around her wrong by solving the crimes that have even the best of the city's police department stumped. However, the deeper Amelia becomes involved, it becomes more and more apparent to her that nothing is as it seems and she must choose carefully who she places her trust in. With the help of a young police detective with whom she instantly clashes with, she must unravel the truth before time runs out and it is too late.
