Kathleen is new in town, though her family lives there since a long time. Everyone does since it's a town of werewolves, rather the town of one specific pack. This pack is called the 'silverblood' pack, one of the few packs to actually live 'together' with humans. It's actually more like the wolves control them, though.

Kathleen's older twin brother Samuel or, as she calls him, Sammy lives all alone since their parents past away a few years before. That was when Kathleen left, leaving her brother behind. Nothing more is known about their family.

Oh, wait, that's not true! Sammy is the pack's omega and get beaten up for it all the time, so there's that.

Lexus, aka Lex, is the soon-to-be alpha of the pack, the most powerful wolf in the city. The city is his territory and the woods his home - and at times it's the other way around. Everyone respects him and his word is law.

He knows about Samuel getting beaten up and doesn't appreciate it. He doesn't know why he's defending the week omega, but it feels right to him. He always thought it might be because a good alpha has to make sure all his pack members are healthy and well.

But when he meets Samuel's twin sister, he knows the real reason why: The omega is the brother of his mate!

Sadly Kathleen is a very shy girl who makes a point of avoiding to talk to anyone besides Samuel from the very beginning. Lex can't even tell her who she is to him! But, though she is very dear to him from the moment he sees her, he isn't stupid. He knows she hides something. Something important Samuel knows about...
