In the new world a child isn't a burden, it's a fashion statement, and the rich pay to have their babies modified to have perfect genes before they are even born. The poor are characterised by their minor faults created by natural birth, and in a government run by mods they are overthrown by laws ordering the death of all naturals on the Earth.

Nina belongs to Sector H, a small plot of land owned by naturals continuously at threat of being captured and killed by the mods. In a world full of people set out to kill all natural borns, she is severely under educated on how everything came to be, but after witnessing the brutal death of her parents, and with a small brother to look out for, it becomes her mission to rescue her people from the cold clasp of the Greater Region. Finding love in someone she never thought she would, and facing betrayal and heartache, will she save the people she cares about? or burn alongside them.
