Freedom is never free, but does its price ever become too high? This is the question a banished, reluctant heir must face when he returns to find his homeland slipping into the jaws of the dark elements that have infected it. The wisdom of the universe and gift of immortality lie embedded within the long-forgotten Creation Stone that is now in the grasp of a powerful sorcerer bent on releasing its secrets, and it is this young lord, Aidan, who is tasked with returning it to its rightful place. Time is anything but an ally as his desperate search for the Stone and its key lead him on a confusing path paved with murder and betrayal. Along this journey, while his people unwittingly strengthen the yoke of their own master, Aidan must prove that loyalty and courage are more than just words.
