Ask! are you living for the now,
Thus much let us avow -
We are not wrong, who deem
That our days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown astray
In a moons night, or in a day,
In a mirror, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.
