The Ardent and The Bard
Ever wonder where your dreams go when you wake? Imagine if they drifted off, coalescing with the dreams of others to create a constantly shifting realm of imagination and memories. That is the realm that Shade the Scarecrow and Cole the Wanderer set off to explore. What begins as a simple research expedition escalates into a fight for survival and revelation. ---------------------------------- This is a work based on a D&D campaign I ran with my friends for 4 years (though it is not a "campaign journal"). It's part of a series of novellas I wrote for my players to let them know what their characters are up to. Naturally this means that it was written with the intent that the reader was already familiar with the world. I have done my best to adapt the story for new readers and included footnotes for lore that does not outright speak for itself. If you enjoy this, consider going to my main blog (taleofchampions.wordpress.com) where you can read the appendices and see new chapters early. Thank you for your time. ~-~smzippyyComplete

The Shattered Weave
The Shattered Weave is a fast-paced fantasy with slow-burn romance, set in an urban setting where vampires, werewolves, and witches covertly battle for dominance, until a human unlocks secrets to the past and becomes the most sought-after creature in the supernatural world. Aidan Summers thought he had the best job any young scientist would die for: working at a state-of-the-art laboratory and doing what he loved, while getting paid handsomely too. It seems too good to be true, and he soon realises he's right, especially when Aidan learns of the restricted area he is not allowed access to. Things take a sudden turn in Aidan's life when the secret behind those locked doors is somehow connected to the unsolved case of his missing brother Gavin and even bigger secrets about his family that he had no clue about. Thrown in for good measure is the mysterious appearance of a beautiful woman with supernatural powers who claims to know him when he has never met her before. Can Aidan's life get any weirder? The answer is yes, and it's about to get a lot more dangerous, too. Mature rating for some gore and violence. Book 1 in the Splintered Soul series.
