Broken and Silent is the story of Charlotte Daniels, a young woman who's twin died and mother who's left. She lives with an abusive father who spends more time with a bottle of beer than with her. She suffers from a mental disorder called Selective Mutism, a disorder that renders her incapable of speaking. She uses this as a defence mechanism to try and stay safe.
