Around the late 1950s racism and segregation was very much alive. Blacks and whites were completely separated, whether it were the doors they walked through to the fountains they drank from. This inequality pushed others to take cruel words, violent actions, and oppression to the next level.
And even though there were lots who wished for this madness to end, not many were brave enough to take a stand. Naveah Johnson did not like that fact at all. She was only seen as a brash, 'unintelligent', 17-year-old black girl but regardless of how she was viewed Naveah wanted to make a change.
Therefore, if attending an all whites school with 8 other black students was what she needed to do to get the peace talk across, then damn it, she'd do it! Naveah would focus her whole life on making integration happen if she has to. So will she continue to repeatedly turn away the love of Ethan Turner for reasons 'unknown'? Will she let her goals cause her to lose out in life?

I let out another silent whimper as I curled up tighter into myself. When will he stop this time? I already gave up wishing that he would finally kill me. He never has yet. Hell, the White's had a problem with every race. Including their own. They turn against each other also. This is a story about how a girl read The Outsiders in 9th grade. She was obsessed with The Outsiders. School is out so it's summer break. Jasmine Jewels had a dream about The Outsiders then when she wakes up she finds herself in a different room. She realizes that she's in a new bedroom. She pinches herself to make sure she isn't dreaming. When she realizes that she isn't dreaming,she freaks out. When she heads downstairs,she realizes that her parents aren't there either. Instead,there replaced with new parents. Her new parents are still nice to her. They think she's still one of there own. Jasmine then figures out that she's middle class. Jasmine goes outside to see what it looks like. It looks what Tusla would look like. She goes for a walk. Everyone looks like there from the 1960's. When she sees someone,she asks what year it is. The man looked confused but said 1966. That's when she realizes that she's in The Outsiders book. Does Jasmine end up meeting the gang? Dose everything in the book happen in this world? If so, did the events happen yet? Is Johnny and Dallas still alive? Read and find out. Jasmine doesn't realize it yet but this book isn't going to have all the events from The Outsiders book. JOHNNY and DALLAS are still going to be alive through out the book. I may or may not put lines that were from the book or not.
