Chapter 1 of Book 1: The Queen
Darkness was a scary thing, and it seemed the world was overcome by it...

A world without seasons.  A planet without light.  A kingdom without a Queen.

Princess Aria Royale spent her entire life preparing to become Queen of Mayath, and she had always imagined she would be ready when the time came to take her place on the throne.  But when the violent Rebels that thrive in the forest of Melana wage an attack on Mayath, killing the Queen and King, Aria must take into her own hands the kingdom her ancestors fought to protect.
