Riley and Ellie Spencer and Piper Johnson were average everyday teen dancers from Nebraska. They attend 'Dance, Tap, Flip' dance studio, where they complete in their competiton team. 
A couple of weeks later they get a call from Dance Moms: Abby Lee Miller.
They attend the ALDC in LA for 3 weeks to see if they're ALDC dancers and are able to dance with the Jr Elite Competition Team. 

Will they stay in LA? How long will their friendship last with the other girls around them?
Most importantly.... Will they become a star?
