A few short poems based on the novel Their eyes were watching god by Zora Neale Hurston.
The book Their eyes are watching god is about a girl named Janie who at 16 got married to Logan Killicks and after that she found herself in an abusive relationship with Joe Starks who at first gave her a better relationship but over time became more controlling of Janie's social interaction. This book is about the story of Janie who is trying to find herself not only as a black women in a mans world but as a wife as well.
