Our Conscious Fields; What is living? by EchoLailia

Slow paced narrative set in a world awakened to panpsychism and innate abilities following the fall and rise of society. A gentle approach to world building with a bit of humor, romanticism, and just enough hints of drama without going into it. When everyone writes about how it could all go wrong or what happens after it does; who wants to read about what happens if it just goes right for once? Still conflict and drama but, the hard work is already done. Now you just get to see a glimpse of what happens in a reality where it all works out. Hello everyone! You've stumbled across my big book of Short Stories! This is a fun, ongoing challenge that me and my friend Dragoln are doing. The two of us have a daily random generated prompt that we have to write a story to. Both of us get the exact same prompt yet our stories will spiral down different paths. And who knows? Some of our ideas might even be good enough to be developed into separate books. Please take note that writing these stories are just for fun and the sole purpose of them was to improve our writing skills. More will be said in the author's note of this book (1st chapter). The Suggestion Box, Volume 3: One Thousand Words by KartheyM

In this edition of The Suggestion Box, I made some changes to the solicitations for each piece: (UPDATE: I have gone through and added, in parentheses, the genre of each "short story", if that helps! You'll see that there is a variety... be sure to read them all!) 1. Titles--All the segments have titles now, giving them a real sense of "short story." It also helped me differentiate between those lists that fit better as continuations for either my longer story arc (available here under the title "Serenity's Light") or separate entities. 2. Images--All segments came with an associated image from the outset, giving me added fuel for inspiration. 3. Word Limit--I set myself a goal of "one thousand words" to go with each list. Very often I exceeded it, but it also gave the opportunity for more development than just a quick "one-off," as it were. The "chapters" in this series are all strictly self-contained and (except in the case of a few) are unrelated to each other. Enjoy!
