Her older brother, Kaleb, was killed along with her father on the night she turned six months old. Although Julia had realized that her husband and son were dead, she rushed to Pluto's spell room and grabbed the only thing she could think of: Angel blood. It was the purest substance in existence, and could possible rid her daughter of the demon blood. Julia ran back to her baby and put the angel's blood in a bottle, feeding it to her child with all the hope in the world. After, Julia sank to the floor with her baby cradled in her arms, crying, and Jupiter began crying with her mother. JP grew up in the Hunter's life, and she then became one herself. She got herself a '65 Mustang, and travled, solving cases. Julia taught JP how to do spells and other magic things, just as Pluto had, along with warding her with many tattoos. Her mother died by the hands of demons, who JP found and sent back to hell. This means to fight against giant beasts from faultlines, that have strange connections to rifts. There is a band of people quite successful with it and one in particular is celebrated like a popstar: Hades, (self-declared) God of the Underworld, trying to survive a world where the only worth a person like him is how much money he generates for the large companies called "guilds".
