Claudia was born with a gift. She's a guardian angel of sorts, and whenever someone needs her, she goes to help them out as whoever they need her to be. The downside to that is once she's helped them move past whatever is weighing on them, they forget who she is and go about their lives. She drifts from place to place with no ties and no family to her name until fate lands her in a small town, and for the first time I her life she meets someone who she has no idea how to help.

Sam is a girl with no real friends, and ever since her mom went missing she's been on the principal's watch list of troubled students. She's virtually alone when Claudia comes into her life seemingly by magic and changes everything. However, when her search for her mom ruffles some feathers, it's up to her and Claudia to solve the case before they miss their chance forever.
