She spent every spare moment in this fantasy world--Marania--fighting battles and making friends she knew would never leave her . . . until her family moved away, and she was forced to leave Marania, and all its subjects, behind. Years passed, and Ava grew into a young woman excelling in the career world. Marania was all but forgotten, replaced by a life that left no room for dreaming. So when her imaginary best friend appears out of nowhere on the day her kid brother goes missing, Ava assumes she's losing her mind. He tells her that an old enemy kidnapped her brother and, in order to save him, she'll have to return to the world she left behind--become Mara once again--and save its subjects from falling into darkness.
