Detective Acerbus is the epitome of failure; he's a pudgy, middle-aged, bitter, pathetic loser. He's never solved a case, but when a murder occurs in an abandoned house that supposedly contains the priceless Anderson treasure, Acerbus is given the opportunity to prove to all his coworkers that he is capable of something. But solving the case is not an easy task for the lousy detective, and help comes in two interesting forms.
