Lady Scarlette is not a Lady like any other. She is wild and easier found running the grounds with her common-folk childhood friends from the "heathen" country to the north. When Scarlette's sister's betrothal to the Lord of the northernmost Duchy in the country, they both travel to attend the wedding.
Once there, the Lady Scarlette finds that the Northlands of her country and the Highlands of the "heathen" country are not on the best of terms. During a skirmish that she happens upon during one of her explorations of the Highlands to the north of her sister's fiance's keep, Scarlette meets Clan Laird Evrett Hogarth, a man who is as intrigued by her as she is by him, and from there sparks a passionate relationship that both parties must keep secret from Scarlette's new Northland home.

Savage Marriage

41 parts Complete Mature

Since being liberated from the Romans, the hatred has shifted towards the Highlanders of the North. Her father swore that not one of his children would marry a highlander nor bore his children. For fifteen years, Joanna had heard this. Being the oldest of four daughters, she was constantly reminded. But it comes as a shock when her father announces her betrothed. It is not Prince Andrew of the East, a proper Englishman, but Sir Kincaid a savage chieftain of the Highlands. Joanna is taken away from her comfortable life inside stone walls to a small tribe nestled in the rolling hills. Not only does Joanna have to adjust to a new lifestyle, but a savage husband ten years older than herself. Joanna wants only to go home while Kincaid wants something more. The two think they will hate each other forever. That is until an unfortunate injury. Joanna can finally see through his arrogance and Kincaid can see through her anger. Can they understand one another and become something more? ~Everything in this book may not be historically accurate~
