A well known captain of a state of the art starship finds himself in a massive facility after having undergone experimentation  and with a lapse of memory of how and why he is there, he makes a friend with a potentially deadly entity, SCP 049 who seems captivated by the ghost. That fascination soon turns into infatuation, the doctor having the first visitor whose immune to his lethal touch he finds out just how much he's needed someone like this. The doctor will eventually help Jason get back to where he belongs, and possibly come with him.
