It was always her.

She haunted his mind until he drove himself to the edge of a cliff and threatened himself to fall. Her words remained in his being for weeks, and he kept them until they were a jumble of utterances in his mind. She controlled him until he lost the most important part of him-himself.

But high school changed all of that, and so did Emmy Padma. The world was a dull shade of constant grey, and his mind was a disconnected web of thoughts that disappeared instantly. Emmy was the cloud that surrounded his being and everything he was, until she was his obsession. Until she was the only person he had passion for.
