Abheesht Singh Ranawat, the King of Mewar, found it in the most peculiar way possible. A promise was made years ago and he knew he had to honor his Dado-sa's words. At the ripe age of twenty-nine, the Rana-sa of Mewar had come to a pact with the fact that everything in his life was pre-determined. He was the protector and promoter of the historical and architectural heritage of Mewar, now modern-day Udaipur; he was the most successful conglomerate who had a chain of heritage and luxury hotels right under his thumb; and now he was to be the husband of a girl he had never even seen.
