But her one night out for fun and freedom and birthday celebrations, is turned upside down when a group of guys join their table.

They bring drinks and laughter and a strange man with an even stranger look in his eyes.

The drink he gave her must have been something other than harmless, as now she is buried under a mountain of terror in the middle of no where. Seeing only the light shining under the door and a shadow on the other side of it. 

And no one is close enough to hear her screams...

I grip the steering wheel tightly as my jaw clenches in anger. "What the fuck?" donny whispers next to me as we watch the scene unfold in front of us. "YOU!!! YOU BETTER NOT HAVE RUINED MY DEAL!!!" He roars at her then slams her hard against the car again "IF YOUR FUCKING WHORE OF A MOTHER HAD JUST GIVEN ME HER HALF OF THE COMPANY LIKE SHE WAS MEANT TO!!!!" He screams in her face. "BUT NO YOU HAD TO RUIN EVERYTHING! DIDN'T YOU!!! YOU BITCH!! I'LL KILL YOU!!" He bellows and throws her to the ground, hard. "Boss she needs our help!" Alex says from the back seat, but before I can pry my eyes away from them and remove my death grip off the steering wheel to open my door I hear him scream at her again "FUCK OFF HOME!! NOWWW! BEFORE I KILL YOU!!" In the blink of an eye she gets up and takes off running. Running his hand through his hair and cursing he strides across the parking lot and back to the bar, we watch him as he disappears inside. "Do you think she's ok? It looked like he really hurt her boss" donnys says quietly, almost at a whisper towards the end. "Let's find out" I grit out as I start the car and peel off out the parking lot to find her, she couldn't have gone far.

She remembered her scent. It seemed to verify her aura. Her scent was cherry Coke and cigarettes. The latter one was passed onto her, especially after she had handed her her first cigarette only three months ago. Three months was all it took for her to develop that bad habit, but it wasn't the first nor the only one she developed in that period of time. Now she laid on the roof where she had smoked her first cigarette three months ago, and she glanced over at the full can of cherry Coke sitting on the concrete next to her, almost as if it were mocking her. A dull ache formed in her heart, a hollow, resounding ache that penetrated her deepest core.
