Porsche Fersko moves all the way from San Francisco to Chicago expecting a normal new life, as a senior at a new high school, with new friends and a new beginning. She's never been one to stand out, nor does she want to stand out. She usually keeps to herself and her friends. She never gets in any trouble, and she have never been in detention as she always do her school work on time and meet up to her classes on time. You could call her a goodie-two-shoes, but she would deny it.
Now what happens when she meets Maverick Gansey, a well known bad boy at the school. Rumours has it that he and his friends are in a gang, but that can't be true can it? No 18 year old can be in a gang. Nonetheless, he is rude, never on time and all the girls love him.
Will they get along? Hate each other? or not acknowledge each other at all?
