A young filly named Skywatcher and her group of five friends are called upon by Princess Celestia after their home suffers a great deal of catastrophic natural phenomenons. The only way to save their home from external destruction is to team up with a stallion named Tide Breaker, and to perilously journey together to find the black-hearted unicorn named Umbra Shadow.
However, the group's survival is in line, and Umbra Shadow puts a numerous amount of deadly obstacles in their wake to stop them from finding her. Skywatcher must take the risk and lead her friends into unknown territory and hunt down the culprit, all while facing her own inner doubts and terrors.
