This is a story I started last year. Not too good but whatevs. It's about a man in a post-apocalyptic world trying to survive as genetic mutants are all throughout the land. He meets people along the way and fights bad guys yada yada yada. Enjoy what has been wrote so far. (Work in progress)

[short action-thought scenes] In a post bio-nuclear war apocalypse, nothing remained the same. the radiation from the war sent rays that take infinite years to die out into our world de forming it, changing it, mutating it. All living creatures mutated even most of the humans, but no two had the same effect. the only humans that haven't mutated are those hiding under ground. {WARNING: This is an original story of mine, and has nothing to do with any fandoms. I understand if you don't want to read it, but it would mean a lot if you tried it out.} Humanity is falling apart, and only a few people are keeping it together: the Purebloods. They fight against the violent, erratic mutants with what little sway they have left, struggling to keep humanity from falling to pieces. the mutants, on the other hand, are trying to stop the Purebloods and get them to embrace their mutant side so everyone can live together and cease fighting. It's the year 2250. Humanity is facing the largest threat in all of history. Ever since it first arrived in 2020, the coronavirus has mutated and developed resistance to the antibodies. Every person now lives in fear of the mutated beings, Creepers, that come alive at night, devouring anything with a beating heart. Lizzy is no stranger to the affects of the virus. Her father and the love of her life were both taken from her and turned into the deranged monsters that lurk outside the dome. But when the president announces that they have found a serum that could repel the infection, Lizzy knows better than to hope. She wants nothing to do with the virus. But when she's drafted as one of the four to go and receive the serum, Lizzy has no choice but to accept. Going past the dome, walking thousands of miles through Creeper-infested ruins, then bringing back a serum that may not even work? It's a death sentence. But what other choice does she have? Without changing a person's personality, undergoing the Alteration perfects their appearance, IQ, and even their immunity to diseases. No human passes the age of sixteen without being Altered. In the blink of an eye, things change. An ominous message is sent out to all of those below the age of sixteen, providing precise instructions that suggest they flee. Simultaneously, a deadly virus starts to spread all about the world, attacking only the Altered -- every human over the age of sixteen. The virus eats at the modified human brain, and soon the Unaltered begin to realise that the Altered are losing their minds. Home is no longer safe. Friends and family turn on one another, losing control of their own minds and bodies. The Unaltered aren't safe. Even if the virus isn't attacking them, the ones with the virus are.
