No Superheroes Allowed
Long ago a group of superheroes and villains worked together to prevent an invasion. But they managed to kill more people than they saved. Their destruction caused the perception of those with powers to dramatically shift; to the point of outcast. 50 years later crime as only increased to the point where not even the police respond to calls. Few heroes went into hiding to 'play normal'; like my family and I. I live in New Haven City. I've been lucky enough that I don't have powers that attract too much attention --- Everything was going great. Everything was normal. Until Jamie was forced to confront the reality of her situation. The mayor who has been running the NSA was beginning to take drastic measures. Sending many supers off to another island. Stealing their powers. Forcing others to betray their own kind. I've always been a bit 'intimidating', so they say, even before I got my powers. So I stuck to it. Besides, who would ever think that the bad boy is actually a superhero? Apparently, a certain someone, Jenna Davison if we're going to be specific, the good girl somehow caught on to my little alter ego. Zachary Dellis is a shitty person. He doesn't like working too hard. He does pay enough attention in class. Even at home he's barely attentive. Being the only hero in the large city of Astmeld, he is kind of relied on. But in comes a newer superhero. More dedicated, more agile. More.... popular and loved. Zach doesn't hide his jealously well either. This hero forces him to step up his game; but it still isn't enough to compete. Jack Carter is your semi-average guy. Sixteen, 5' 11, charcoal black hair, and a slight muscle build. The rich popular kid that everyone adores. Until his life takes a turn for the better and worse. Sure, the move was bad. A whole new city across the country. The Big freakin' Apple. Then there was the fact that he had to leave all his friends and make new ones. Double bummer.
