REFINEMENT OF THE FORCE

The galaxy is engulfed in terror! With a year long war between the Resistance and the First Order, the Resistance has installed HOPE throughout the many star systems suffering from the loss of leadership once provided by the New Republic. While the First Order has spent a year chasing the Resistance throughout the galaxy, the Resistance has grown in numbers to make up for their loss on the Mineral planet Crait, sneaking several minuscule victories on the way. 

After the death of LUKE SKYWALKER, the young woman named Rey must unify the force to defeat the evil SUPREME LEADER Kylo Ren before the First Order is allowed to bring any more terror to the galaxy. Meanwhile, Poe Dameron holds the rank of VICE ADMIRAL due to his success during the Battle of Crait in place of Amilyn Holdo. 

Now, the Resistance Fleet amasses its forces with new outer rim allies, attracted by the hope provided by the spread of the Resistance, whilst the First Order's commanding general ARMITAGE HUX prepares his forces to defeat the Resistance once and for all, resulting in a galaxy ruled by the iron grip of the evil First Order...All Rights Reserved

This is my version of the third chapter of the new Star Wars trilogy. I will not change anything that happened in either Force Awakens or Last Jedi. I will uphold the restrictions that resulted from the sad death of Carrie Fisher and will only draw from the deleted scenes or audio from pre-existing Star Wars movies and properties. Whilst I appreciated what Last Jedi was trying to do, I did not actually like it. However, I have no intention of undoing any of the main plot points or revelations that were in it. E.g. Rey will certainly not be a Palpatine. The story will not contain any Reylo. I know, I know: I love it too, but it was really weird seeing it as canon in the Rise of Skywalker. Do not expect it here. I am a big Star Wars fan and will be adding things from as wide a field as possible. All planets will be based on actual places mentioned or visited in the various movies and tv shows. Two weeks after the battle on Crait we catch up with Supreme Leader Kylo Ren adjusting to life without Snoke and Rey surrounded by the remnants of the Resistance. The force bond is still active between them though neither of them seem very happy about it. Rating is for possible violence and lemons in the future. Poe buries himself in work as he tries to forget his failures and forge ahead. Leia attempts to cement her legacy and ensure the future of the galaxy. This fanfic explores a different ending to TROS starting at about the halfway point, when Kylo reveals the truth about Rey in the hangar. It will focus mainly on their story but there will be significant plot arcs that focus on Finn, Poe, Leia, and others. There will be a few augmentations to the earlier story, but I have tried to stay true to the plot up until this point, except for the 16 hr deadline Palpatine gave them. His threat was open ended in my version.
