For generations, the Sunrock Kingdom thrived under the courageous honey badgers, who ruled with a fair paw after ending the lions' tyrannical reign. Their law was simple: only one who has tamed a dragon may claim the throne. Prince Boran believed this was ancient history-until the night his brother, the Bengal tiger Rajar, returned from exile with a fire-breathing serpent at his command. In a single, bloody coup, Rajar seizes the crown and shatters the royal family. Now, Boran is a fugitive in his own kingdom, fleeing with only his falcon aide, Saiya, by his side. His only hope to reclaim his birthright is to find the last free dragon-a legendary beast lost to time. But he cannot succeed alone. Forced into an uneasy alliance with a disgraced lion mercenary, their quest begins under the shadow of a relentless hunt. The new Tiger-King cannot openly move against him, so he works through the shadows. A polar bear captain, once a trusted guard, has turned traitor, placing a king's ransom on Boran's head. From the crocodile hunters in the riverlands to the wolf packs in the forests, every claw is now turned against the last badger prince. To win back his kingdom, Boran must survive the hunters, master his own nature, and do the impossible-chain the storm to his will, before the kingdom is forever lost to tooth and tyranny.
