Laurie likes to think. It's an unfortunate habit. His family and friends try to dissuade him, telling him about computers and how they can do the thinking for him. They enrol him in the most boring school with the least interesting subjects available. They try to distract him with pretty girls. But nonetheless, Laurie thinks. A great deal of thinking, a cute police officer and a couple of protected animals later, Laurie finds himself in Australia - the opposite side of the world - poking at emus and still thinking. Well, who can blame him? ... maybe everyone he left behind in Ireland?
