Ol' Red is a bit of folklore. It's the kind of story parents tell to their children to make sure they don't go near the water before they learn how to swim. Maybe it's true. Maybe it's a lie, but the goal behind it is to keep the children safe.
Like all good stories, this one features a monster. The tale is about a boy named Michael who decided that he no longer believed in those 'baby stories' and the consequences of that decision.
