Temporary Engagement (A Louis Tomlinson Fanfiction) [ON HOLD]

"Please tell me that you did not tell them I'm your fiancé."

"Well, what was I supposed to do," I scoff in a harsh whisper, "let them shove more guys in my face?"

Louis steps back a bit and paces around with his fingers running through his tussled hair.

He looks up at me with a very worried expression outlining his facial features, "Kate, I really can't do this. This is insane."

"Shut up, it's not permanent." I brush my brown fringe bangs from my forehead and heave a sigh. My chest hurts a bit for talking to him in such a rude manner. I shake my head and stutter, "I am-I'm sorry. Louis please," I plead, "I'm just asking for this one thing."

Louis continues to stare me down with his sapphire shaded eyes. I take notice of him swallowing hard.

I ever so slowly begin to speak, "Be my temporary engagement."

Every family has their own odd tradition. In my family, mostly my father's side, you must be engaged by the age of twenty-two. And if not...you're looked down upon.
