It happened on a seemingly normal Wednesday afternoon. Kids were just starting to come home from school, parents were pulling into driveways after a long day of work, and dogs were barking as the sounds of people chatting began filling the neighborhood. The sky was blue and it was a sunny April afternoon. It was a perfect, normal day-until about six o'clock in the evening. That's when the first warning came; a "Don't worry we can fix this" sort of warning. The news lady on the screen smiled through her bright purple lipstick as she mentioned "infectious disease" and "some very sick people". I'm sure there were some people who even went to bed that evening, but my family knew better. Even as I look back on the events of that day I can still remember my father's glance to my mother as the news lady casual moved on to another topic of interest. They knew even then. They knew we were all screwed.

Follow the story of Hope Rivera as she struggles to learn how to survive the apocalypse. Will she make it out alive?
