In the beginning, everything was perfect. Or so the only being believed. Luoya, The Great Mother, and creator of all things thought she was finished.  Things were only getting started. 

This is the first short story in a series of twelve (or more) short stories to come out this year. It is just under 4000 words. It doesn't take long to read and I would love to hear feedback!All Rights Reserved

The concept for this book was birthed on a train but has continued to flourish long after the train left the tracks. From April to September 2016 I had to travel to and from work via train, four days a week. Every week. That's a lot of spare time, idle time. Ronin saw the faces of the new Children of the Light and was tasked by the Elders to track them down and protect them at all costs.The children were both college students and were one male and one female whose names were James Hillman and Sara Danvers..When Ronin went to see he ran into a ghost from his past, Lillian. The story continues on with Ronin seeking answers from the Elders about how a Guardian could come back from the dead.
