Lost in the maze was never good but at night, it was worse. To the Gladers, the terror that trailed the maze each night were known as Grievers; part creature, part machine. A monster that could send a person into a murderous-like frenzy with one sting. However, to Kaia, they were called Shrieks. Why? Well that is a part of her story; this story...
"WCKD is good. WCKD is good. WCKD is good." She heard these words for days on end. Until she heard them.... the only human voices she had heard for days and she didn't know if they were real or in her mind. The only sounds that she'd usually hear was her own thoughts, her own voice, and the ear-piercing noise coming from what she knew as Shrieks.
Why had the other Gladers, especially the Runners, never seen this girl? She was in such obvious places at the most random times so why had she never been seen? Because she subconsciously hid out of fright perhaps?
So when they find her hiding in the vines and shrubs, they're baffled. Why was she there? How was she there? How had they never seen her? And how long has she been there? Questions by hundreds filled their minds... But how well does the first female Glader get treated? Is it like royalty, a prisoner, a sister, or just another Glader?
She can help, in ways unimaginable by the Gladers. She was put there for a reason greater than the Gladers'. So what can she do to help set them free? That saying, only if she can.

The usual starter pack of some character being the first girl in the glade and blah, blah, blah. Yeah..not what I'm gonna do. Let's start like this, trapped, hopeless, with no way out. That is the life in the glade. No one knows why they are there or how to get out. They try to keep each other in a state of sweet ignorance. Just to keep their sanity. But the ones that were there the longest they know. They know the hard truth that would cause other gladers to lose their minds. These few chosen ones became fearless. Warning: As my bio says I am not a native English speaker, I am from Slovakia and English is just my second language. And because Slovakia is some lost country in the middle of Europe I didn't yet get my hands on the Maze Runner books in English I only read them in Slovak and let me tell you that isn't as good...So I will be mainly basing this book on the movie, of course using some things from the books as well from time to time. The Mother, The Father, and The Daughter. You. But due to the flare your parent's died, killing themselves in hope you would be safe. So you were all alone, stuck in the maze with the grievers. But they never hurt you, because W.I.C.K.E.D never got to you. Grievers are programmed to harm and or kill people from the glade. But that doesn't include you. You stayed in the maze for the rest of your life, until people started to show up. You mostly stay away from the gladers, until you save a certain boy that sets your world on fire. Everything you knew started to change. And now you are wanted by W.I.C.K.E.D. So make your choice.
