His girlfriend May and Dominic decide to buy a dog to ease the struggles. They get three week old Sia, an adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who loves attention.
But when May and Dominic break up, it's up in the air about Sia's permanent home. They decide on joint custody.
May enjoys the little time with Sia, since her job calls for not nearly as much time with a dog as required. Dominic on the other hand wants more time with her as his depression worsens.
