Paephan was the first of her kin is now the last. They were tasked to keep their oath until their death. Her oath is to keep the line of Durin alive. She joins Thorin and the others in their quest to reclaim Erebor.
Little note: so in an interview, Richard Armitage said Thorin is 5'2 Paephan is taller him, like 5'3.
As for her physical appearance. There are two things I wanted to stay the same. That her body shape is that of an elf and her wings are gold. As for hair, eyes, skin etc. You can imagine her how ever you wish.

Serafina the Grey (Book 3 of the Daughters of Durin Trilogy)

Although Erebor is his once more, Thorin knows there is still a great threat to the peace of Middle Earth. Azog is gone, but another has taken his place and has sworn to finish what Azog began.
