Martin Wells is a typical American teenager. He likes riding his bike, reading, and hanging out with his best friend, Alex.
But the summer before his sophomore year is different. Alex is sent to his father's for the summer and Martin, with nothing better to do, finds himself drawn to the abandon dormitories, just a short bike ride from his home.
Martin is in utter disbelief when he finds a strange, floating creature that goes by the name of Mr. Moon.
Mr. Moon is smart and friendly but something about him scares Martin. Something that Martin can't quite put his finger on - but something that is real - and it isn't long until Martin realizes he is set on a dark path with no way out.
