"GRACIE!" I jump, my heart stopping and my body going ridged, I turn around.
I see him.
At the other end of the street.
I can feel my body start to shake. The two guys move in front of me blocking him from my view and me from his. The one who ran into me turns to face me while the other stays facing the direction he's coming from.
"Come with us, we have a room in a hotel around the corner, ok, we'll keep you safe"
and in that moment, I made a decision, that changed my life, that saved the life of me and my unborn child.
