Luna Carter has had a tragic life. It started out wonderfully when she was younger, but as she got older her life accumulated more and more problems. After the death of her mother, she is sent to New York to live with her father whom she has never met before. Her life isn't perfect; however, she sees it worse than it actually is. She blames herself for her mother's death, she has to deal with the demotic ghosts from her past, and she feels more alone than ever before. Once in New York, she meets her step-brother for the first time and gains a few friends who try to help her conquer her horrible past. Though she has her brother and friends she still struggles to accept herself.

She is also suicidal due to the departure of her friend, since then, when she skates, she slips in and out of memories of them as she tried to move on with friends that always remind her of them. backstory: You once had a friend who loved to skate, they were sort of your only friend, and taught you to skate. You two had spent a good portion of your lives together, they meant so much to you, but then an illness caused your friend to be hospitalized, and eventually dying. Their last words to you, were this: "Y/n, I know you don't look forward to a lot of things, but promise me that if you are ever about die, die doing something that makes you feel alive." It a waste that I might forgot the plot and all so here it is. Mainly I don't have much time (mostly procrastinating ) and I have lot of novels to catch up. So... this novel might not have decent updates that it might be on par with on hold/on hiatus stories. I just felt wasted on leaving it rot like some of my old stories. She learns of all the horrible things he's done to others and finds out that by speaking up, she will help in the court case; in doing so, she meets so many other people who have been influenced by the actions of her ex-boyfriend and how she has a vast community around her supporting her now. Once she finishes high school and moves away, she builds a new community with those same people. She learns to not allow her past to define her identity.
