Lexi's life was never picture perfect. Shes fought, strived, and tried to earn the respect of her mother and peers in school and when no one gave her the attention she wanted, she finally lost hope and threw herself into the crowd that not many tried to get themselves involved with. And the worst part was no one tried to help her which just encouraged her. River was the schools nerd since he could ever remember. But he also remembered when he and Lexi were the best of friends and their mothers would plan their wedding. People change I guess. Sometimes for the better other times for the worse. He put in his best and let people push him around. He might live in a nicer, better neighborhood and he might have a full family who had a lot of money but that never defined him of who he was. When these two knuckleheads are thrown together in the whirlwind of high school, there could be a change. A revitalization that neither of them ever thought they would discover. Maybe, just maybe, they could make it out alive before anything got worse. If that was even possible. Childhood playmates to complete strangers? Like they say: "People change. Memories don't"
